Resident Aide / CNA— JOB DESCRIPTION
The Care Partner / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate, and person-centered care and daily operations 2- houses with 16-beds assisted living beds each (32). This position is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supporting their physical and emotional well-being, and contributing to a safe, respectful, and homelike environment. Core Responsibilities:
Resident Care & Support
• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, and hygiene.
• Provide assistance during mealtimes, including set-up, feeding (if needed), and meal preparation.
• Support residents in maintaining as much independence as possible in a dignified and respectful manner.
• Offer companionship and engage residents in meaningful conversation and daily activities.
Health & Safety Monitoring
• Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the House Manager or Nurse.
• Monitor for safety hazards and respond promptly to resident needs and call lights.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Team Collaboration
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with other staff, residents, and families.
• Attend scheduled training, team meetings, and in-services to ensure continued compliance and skill development.
• Work cooperatively with all members of the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Resident Environment & Comfort
• Assist with housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying resident rooms, and light cleaning to maintain a clean and homelike environment.
• Encourage and support residents’ participation in daily routines and activities.
• Promote a warm, patient, calm, and cheerful atmosphere.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required (Care Partners without CNA certification will receive training).
• Prior experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with compassion, patience, and a strong work ethic.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and committed to maintaining resident dignity and safety.
Schedule & Availability:
• Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available.
• Must be able to work assigned shifts and be flexible with scheduling needs.
• Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
